New Delhi : Congress rebelious leader Shankarsinh Vaghela is once again seeking a way to return to the party. He gave a press conference in Delhi on Wednesday to satisfy its point of contention and announced its support to the Congress in Lok Sabha elections. He said that in the coming elections, he also campaigned for Congress. He praised Rahul Gandhi for being the leader of the future. Vaghela who was one of the leaders of Gujarat, said that the present government has completely lost its credibility among the people and the people now want to get rid of them. For this, all parties should come together and they will try for it.
Vaghela said that the 2019 Lok Sabha election is for the Prime Minister and the people of the country. He said that time is demanding that all the parties should come together to defeat the BJP and should contest together under the alliance. He said that they will work to bring all the parties together in the alliance. Those parties, who are hesitant to come along with any reason, will also try to bring them into the coalition.
On the question of who will be the leader of the Maha coalition, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vaghela said that the public chooses his leader according to time. Someone will also be seen as the Leader of the Maha coalition. But there should be no hesitation in coming along with this question only.
He said that the public against the current government is very angry. People have got bored with Modi's false speeches. They now want to get rid of them. It is the responsibility of all political parties that they will come together on one platform after forgetting mutual differences to fulfill their wishes. He said that when he got an overwhelming majority for the Prime Minister's post, then I had told him to fulfill the promises made to the people. But today it has come to everyone that this government has proved to be a failure on every front.
Talking about the issue of Vaghela's return to Congress, a top party leader said that the road to his return has been closed. Even during the last assembly elections, the role has been very negative. Their credibility is over. In such a situation, there is no possibility of his return to the party. Vaghela, who has been around 78 years old, has been a big face of Gujarat politics. Apart from the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he has also been a union minister, five times the Lok Sabha member and once the Rajya Sabha member.
