Ahmedabad : STATE-WIDE VACCINATION initiated from Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad by chief minister Vijay Rupani with Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. During the event, he said, “16th January, 2021 is a historic day for the entire country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the country-wide vaccination and it is the beginning of the end of COVID-19 in India.” Around 5.41 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been made available to the state in Phase-1. Out of this, 4.40 lakh health workers will be vaccinated in Gujarat in state-wide vaccination drive. More than 16,000 health workers will be vaccinated from 161 vaccine centres today. This will include medical, paramedical, nursing and sanitation workers. The Government of India has decided to include such workers in Phase-1 for their relentless service during the crisis. There are 17, 128 vaccinators 27,934 session sites and 2236 cold-chain points available in the state. A number of reputed people from the medical fraternity and office bearers got themselves vaccinated in Ahmedabad to lead by an example. The CM added, “There is no need to have second thoughts about the vaccine. I urge everyone to stay away from rumours and misinformation. Covishield is safe for everyone.” Health workers were given a vaccine badge as a mark of identification. P.S of Health Department Dr. Jayanti Ravi, Health Commissioner, and doctors and a number of medical experts and health care workers were present during the event.
CM welcomes 18000 COVID-19 Vaccine dose at BAPS Hospital in Vadodara
Vadodara : Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today digitally welcomed 18000 COVID-19 Vaccine dose at BAPS hospital in Vadodara in the presence of saints. 16th January 2021 is a historical day for all of us. There was no vaccine of medicine before for corona. In the last 10-11 months with collective efforts we have been able to fight against corona and control the transmission. Government has taken necessary steps to ensure that people in Gujarat stay away from infection and the infected get proper treatment. As a result, the recovery rate of corona in Gujarat today has reached about 96 percent. Mr. Rupani said that under the leadership of our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, our scientists-doctors have discovered two indigenous vaccines in India. Which is a matter of pride for making India self-reliant.
In Vadodara, CM virtually initiated the vaccine drive. He said, from the beginning of this disease we have made the necessary measures, ventilators, masks, sanitizers etc. while we have also made two vaccine of corona. With the kick start of vaccination in India including Gujarat from today, vaccination has been started at 161 places in Gujarat, the number of vaccination centers in Gujarat will be increased as per the guideline of the Government of India, he added. Today we have also received the blessings from the saints here so we will surely succeed in this vaccination campaign. The CM also expressed his belief that we are going to realize the mantra of “Corona Harshe ane Gujarat Jitshe” (Corona will lose and Gujarat will win)”. On the occasion Pujya Kothari Swami, Pujya Gyanvatsalya Swami from BAPS, MLA Jitubhai Sukhadia, State BJP Bhargav Bhatt, Shabdasharan Brahmbhatt, doctors of BAPS hospital, saints and administrators were present.
