Ahmedabad : To make students aware about the proceeding of Parliament and Assembly, Mock Parliament and Mock Assembly is the best way. Students’ participation help them learn about the various aspects of government working pattern and also the role of opposition in parliament or assembly.
The Mock Assembly was organized by the students of Master of Mass Communication & Journalism of journalism department, Gujarat University. Students re-created the proceedings of assembly. Students performed the role of Chief Minister, Speaker, Leader of Opposition, ministers and Members of Legislative Assembly. Question hour was performed and students put and raised very relevant questions before the ministers and ministers also gave satisfactory answers in the house.

Senior journalist Padmashri Devendra Patel was present as the chief guest in this mock assembly. Devendra Patel encouraged students and guided them about various aspects of Parliament and assembly. He also shared his knowledge related to government working pattern.
This mock Assembly was the brainchild of Parth Patel. Under his strong mentorship, students could perform well. Head of the Department, Dr. Sonal Pandya congratulated all the students. Assistant Professor of the Department, Dr. Bhumika Barot also did good efforts to make this event successful.
