Gandhinagar : Taranga hill – Ambaji – Abu Road new railway project has been approved by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After this decision, it will be easier to all the people who are travelling to Taranga Hill or Au Road via Ambaji. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel extended his thanks to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the people of Gujarat for the approval given by the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new railway project. He said that the tourists and pilgrims going to famous Shri Ajitnath Jain Shrine located on Taranga Hill in Mehsana, the famous Shaktipeeth Ambaji Temple and Abu Road would directly benefit from this railway project. Union Minister Anurag Thakur announced that the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Taranga Hill, Ambaji and Abu Road rail projects. The proposed 116.65 km. long railway project will provide rail connectivity to Taranga Hill, Ambaji Shaktipeeth and Abu Road. Also, with the completion of this new rail project, an alternative railway route of Ahmedabad – Abu Road railway line will be available. This railway project will be realized at an approximate cost of Rs 2798.16 crore and will be completed by 2026. It is worth mentioning here that lakhs of shravaks come every year to visit the temple of Shri Ajitnathji, one of the 24 holy Jain Tirthankars. Ambaji Shrine, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths has been includedin the Government of India’s ‘Prasad’ scheme for the pilgrimage place development. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated 51 Shaktipeeth Parikrama and Light and Sound Show at Ambaji. With the completion of this rail project, it will be easier and more convenient for millions of devotees across the country to reach Adyashakti Ambaji Temple in the coming years and the pilgrimage tourism activity will get a boost.
