Ektanagar, Kevadia: Three day conference of health sector held in Ektanagar. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, who started a three-day health conference under the 14th meeting of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India at the Statue of Unity-Ektanagar. The conference which is being chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandviya, which is being held from May 5 to 7, the health ministers, secretaries, medical experts from the six states and union territories of the country remained present. Addressing the inauguration session of the conference, the Chief Minister said that the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated all over the country, in which all the state government representatives of the central government’s health department, state and union ministers, experts, and through joint efforts it has been made to make yoga broad and better. Stating that the state government is committed to change the health structure of Gujarat over the time, the Chief Minister said that the effective implementation of various schemes in Gujarat, with the effective implementation of Sustainable Development Goal, Policy Commission Index- Health and well-being, Gujarat is ranked first in big states.
The Chief Minister made it clear that the Gujarat government is committed to provide the best health care to the poorest of the poor. He also said that the Gujarat government has provided health cover to an estimated 2.5 crore citizens of Gujarat under ‘PMJAY-Maa Yojana’ by combining PMJAY (Pradhan Mantri Janaarogya Yojana-Ayushman Bharat) and Maa and Maa-Vatsalya Yojana. Expressing happiness that for the first time in the vicinity of the huge statue of Sardar Saheb uniting the country, Gujarat State has hosted a three-day health conference under the 14th meeting of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare. We will be able to achieve fruitful results in the health sector through actions and exchange of ideas. Speaking at the inaugural session of the three-day health conference, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia said that the initiative towards building a healthy India through joint efforts of the Center and the states has been taken up at the conference today. Minister Mansukh Mandvia called upon the Health Ministers from various states and Union Territories as well as health leaders from across the country to brainstorm on the concept of best management in the health sector in the state and the country by harmonizing the health services and facilities. Earlier, a meeting of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare was held in Delhi. The Central Government has recently announced a special package of Rs.2000 crore to improve the infrastructure of health services in the country. The projects will include medical college tertiary care facilities, state-of-the-art labs and technical services equipment, the minister said.
