Banaskantha : Tourism facility to be developed under ‘Seema Darshan’ said, CM VIjay Rupani. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani visited Nadabet, a remote place of Banaskantha on Indo-Pakistan border and inspected various border tourism development works being carried out by the Tourism Department under ‘Seema Darshan’. Accompanied by Minister Jawahar Chavda, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani reached Nadabet on Thursday morning and began his visit by a prayer at Nadeshwari Mata. This project of ‘Seema Darshan’ is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 125 crores and is expected to be completed before 15th August, 2021. Under this project, Gujarat Tourism Corporation has completed the work of shelter development near Nadeshwari Mata temple. Not only that, on the way from Nadeshwari temple to Zero Point for ‘Seema Darshan’ near T junction, various works of developing amenities are being carried out in four different phases. The Chief Minister inspected the site of all the facilities and the works of phase 1 which are nearing completion at a cost of approximately Rs. 23 crores and received complete details of them. The Chief Minister, along with the tourism minister, also inspected the development works of second phase which are under construction at a cost of Rs. 32 crores.
Among the ongoing works of this second phase are Ajay Prahari Memorial, Parade Ground, Exhibition Centre and a gate equivalent to special replica of border security. The Chief Minister, while interacting with media during his visit, made it clear that Nadabet ‘Seema Darshan’ Program will earn Gujarat a distinctive identity in world tourism map in the field of border tourism. Not only that, tourists visiting this place will be proud of the history of our security forces and the spirit of patriotism. Increase in tourism activities will also create local employment opportunities, he added. It is pertinent to point out here that CM Vijay Rupani showed his commitment in December 2016 by opening the Zero Point of this Border Security Force for ‘Seema Darshan’ to give it a distinctive identity of Border Tourism. This ‘Seema Darshan’ program gives the tourists an opportunity to witness first-hand the thrilling work of the Indian Border Security Force in protecting and defending our country’s borders at Nadabet Zero Point. Visiting the Indo-Pakistan border and experiencing the retreat ceremonies conducted by Border Security Force, a unique sense of patriotism is evoked in every tourist who travels here. As CM Rupani encouraged the Tourism Department to develop this spot as Border Tourism spot, this place is undergoing multiple development works in coordination of State Government’s Roads and Buildings Department, Tourism Department and Border Security Force. Accordingly, the works undertaken in Phase-I include completion of tourist arrival plaza, parking, auditorium retaining wall, drinking water facility and toilet blocks. These tourism development works are to be carried out in 4 phases from T junction to Zero point. Installation of 14 solar trees has also been undertaken in this ‘Seema Darshan’ Border Tourism Project to illuminate this tourist destination with solar energy.
