Kevadia (Narmada) : ‘Unity in Diversity’ is a message, we are getting, said CM Vijay Rupani. In the same occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Statue of Unity at Kevadia has become the best tourist destination in the world and has opened the door to employment and self-employment for the local tribal youth. This has led to a radical change in the living standards of many tribal families. The mission of Indian Railways to increase tourism and unite Sardar Patel’s vision of unity and integrity is being realized here. Inaugurating the 8 trains launched by Indian Railways to connect the Statue of Unity from all over the country through railways, Prime Minister Narendra Modi added that in the above context. Here, on the banks of the Narmada, supernatural spiritual energy is realized. I have also been here many times. Earlier I used to come here by boarding the narrow gauge train. The speed of the train was such that you could even walk with it. The train was moving at such a speed that you could get off the train or sit anywhere on the road. The lack of implementation of technology in railways for many decades of independence and non-implementation of new research has not changed anything in the railways, said PM Modi, adding that today with the adoption of modern technology and research in Indian Railways has changed radically. An excellent example of this is the Kevadia railway project. Which has been accomplished in a short span of only 20 months, even in the midst of many vicissitudes. Due to which Kevadia, a tribal area, has been rejuvenated.
Kevadia is connected to various parts of the country by railway connectivity, making it easy for tourists to come here. People from different states and different languages, coming here will create a vision of a small India and Sardar Patel’s dream of an India, a better India will come true. He expressed confidence that this new chapter of efforts to maintain the unity and integrity of the country has started from Kevadia.
Speaking at the inauguration of Kevadia’s state-of-the-art railway station at Kevadia and Pratapnagar-Dabhoi-Chandod-Kevadia railway line as well as eight new rail services from different parts of the country and connecting Kevadia, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on behalf of the people of the country and Gujarat. He thanked Narendra Modi. CM Rupani said, “Sitting in the shadow of this Sardar statue of Kevadia-based Statue of Unity, we are getting the message of Unity in Diversity in the country and ‘unity in diversity’.” Indian Railways has played an important role in uniting the country. Today trains from different parts of the country will come here to Kevadia and ‘Statue of Unity’ will be synonymous with the unification of the country in the true sense. The Statue of Unity is not just a statue, but a symbol of the spirit of unity of the country. With the unveiling of new railway trains, Kevadia has now become a ‘global travel destination’ along with the country’s unity and integrity. With this new arrangement, the local people and tribal culture of Kevadia have come to the fore. Through these trains, the tribal culture and society here will be directly connected in the country and abroad. Kevadia will be made the center and attraction of the best architecture in the world.
