Gandhinagar : Respecting women power is the path to progress said, chief minister Vijay Rupani. On the occasion of the successful completion of five years of good governance of the state government under the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani & Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, the fourth day of celebration of & Panch Varsh Apni Sarkar na- Sauna Sath thi Sauna Vikasna has been dedicated for Nari Shakti. CM Rupani on Nari Gaurav Divas launched various women welfare oriented schemes from Vadodara. He said that respecting women is the path to progress and prosperity, State Government has created the right environment for women’s social and economic empowerment in the state. With the blessings of this women’s we are completing five years of our governance. Completion of five years is not a celebration but an initiative to serve the people of the state. Under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana CM Rupani distributed interest- free loans worth Rs. 140 crores to 1 lakh women of 14,000 women’s groups (Joint Liability Earning and Saving Groups) of the state. 10 lakh women of the state would be included in it before December 2022 and loans of Rs. One thousand crores will be given. In this nine days, works of Rs. 15000 crores will be done for the people through 18000 programs across the state. We have served more than what we have committed five years ago. Pointing the oppositions Rupani said that we don’t show fake fruits, but we commit only what we can achieve and we can achieve this target by respecting women in each and every field. CM added that “We have made a number of decisions with a sense of empathy for the people and the concept of all-round development, and have delivered its benefits to the people.”Today is an opportunity to present it.  State Government has always served with the mantra of “Sauno Sath Sauno Vikas” and now “Sauna Sath thi Sauna Vikasna”. So this process of development is not possible without mutual cooperation and collaboration. Developed in Gujarat is possible only with everyone’s efforts.

Glorifying the power of women CM Rupani said that, we worship the power of women. The woman of Gujarat is not weak but a symbol of radiance and strength.6 women athletes from Gujarat represent the country in various sports in the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Stating that women have been given equal rights and status by the state government, Rupani said that women have equal rights in governance. In the institutions of local self-government, women have been given 50% opportunity. Today, women not only run houses, but also govern villages, cities, towns, panchayats and districts. While proudly mentioning about giving permanent government jobs to more than one and a half lakh youth recently, CM said that 33% of the seats have been secured for women in it. In Gujarat, various schemes are functioning for the development of different classes. Of these, 189 schemes are exclusively for women. The State Government is committed to work for empowerment and holistic development of women. Explaining the role of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, CM said that on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we gave the gift of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana to the women of Gujarat.

Under this scheme, ten thousand ‘Sakhi-Mandals’ have been formed in the state. This is the first scheme in the country where women get interest-free bank loans. Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana is a historic initiative in accordance with the worldwide innovative concept of Joint Liability Earnings and Saving Group. This scheme is planned in even better way than the concept of microfinance given by Muhammad Yunus of Bangladesh, which is inspiring for other states too. This scheme is initiated with the purpose of empowering women. On the occasion. Minister of State Vibhavari Dave said that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has transformed Gujarat into best of the best. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started a separate Department of Women and Child Development in the year 2002 out of his concern for women. Then its budget was Rs. 456 crore, todays it is Rs. 3511 crores. The state government has taken every step for the empowerment of women. Apart from providing interest-free loans to women, special provisions for women have been made by the government through Vahali Dikri Yojana, Mahila Utkarsh Yojana, Ganga Swarupa Yojana.
