Gandhinagar : Consulate general of the USA paid courtesy visit to CM Bhupendra Patel at Gandhinagar. As the Consulate General of the USA, David Ranz has operations in the western states of India, including Gujarat and Maharashtra. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel pointed out that the Statue of Unity is the tallest statue in the world built with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bhupendra Patel also said that as a result of this Statue of Unity, not only domestic but also foreign tourists are coming in large numbers. The Chief Minister also added that the SOU campus, which has been shaped with development as well as environmental conservation, has become a hub of public employment for the local people. Giving the role of a strong bridge of trade and economic relations between Gujarat and USA, the Chief Minister said that FDI of 11.5 billion US dollars has come to Gujarat from USA.
The state government expressed readiness for a positive approach to increase the number of industries and develop more industries in Gujarat in the coming days. He invited US industry delegations to participate in Gujarat’s world-renowned Vibrant Summit as well as the Defense Expo to be held in Gujarat next March. U.S. companies were also requested to come forward for manufacturing units in Gujarat for the production of semiconductors. David Ranz, Consulate General of the United States of America, thanked the Government of India for its trade and commercial relations with Gujarat and for the positive approach of the Government to the U.S. companies operating in Gujarat. He expressed keen interest in trade and economic bilateral relations with Gujarat, especially between Gujarat and USA, Gujarat-USA partnership in higher education, cooperation in meeting the challenges of climate change and USA’s contribution in social empowerment. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also welcomed his contribution in these areas. Bhupendra Patel sent an invitation to the US Consulate General, especially in the 20,000 MW hybrid energy park being set up in Kutch, as well as in the Gift City, to attract more US banking and financial institutions. In this courtesy visit meeting, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Industry Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Pankaj Joshi, Secretary Avantika Singh, Industry Commissioner Rahul Gupta and MD of Indext-B. Neelam Rani also joined.
