Gandhinagar : FedEx officers met chief minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. A high level delegation of FedEx, one of the leading logistics companies in the world, held a meeting in Gandhinagar with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The FedEx delegation is headed by Ms. Kawal Preet, Regional President, AMEA, Gujarat. The FedEx delegation also visited Gift-city to explore the possibility of setting up their Centre of Excellence. The delegation held a meeting with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in this regard. In this meeting with the Chief Minister, he said that such Centre of Excellence would be collaborating in sectors like IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed readiness of FedEx to extend necessary cooperation of Government for setting up of their Centre of Excellence in Gift-city. Bhupendra Patel also gave detailed details about the incentives given under IT and ITeS policy (2022-27) in Gujarat. Gift-city also offers state-of-the-art infrastructure, finance and IT. The sector promotes skilled workforce, state-of-the-art facilities and tax incentives, he added. Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Pankaj Joshi, M.D of Gift City Tapan Ray, Principal Secretary, Finance Department J. P. Gupta, Science and Technology Secretary Vijay Nehra, Sachin Gusia of GIL and officials of Gift-city were also present.
