Gandhinagar : Hackathon-2022 held under the student startup and innovation policy. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel released the compilation of more than 77 problem statements received for the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Hackathon-2022 under the Student Startup and Innovation Policy 2.0 on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration in Gandhinagar. He also released the NEP Compodium documenting the successful implementation of the New Education Policy in the state during the first two years. Not only this, the Chief Minister also launched the annual calendar of activities containing detailed details of the annual activities of Scope. Education Minister Jitu Vaghani, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Pradeep Parmar, Harshad Patel of Teachers University, Vice Chancellor of GTU, A.U Patel of KCG and Principal Secretary Education S.J.Haider and senior officials were present. Education Minister Jitu Vaghani gave the details to the Chief Minister. Under SSIP 2.0, “State-Level Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Hackathon 2022” is being organized under Student Startup and Innovation Policy 2.0 to celebrate 75 years of Independence in the state of Gujarat. Under it, more than 775 problem statements have been received from government departments, offices and industries. This includes 152 problem statements from various government departments, 489 from government offices and 142 from industrial houses. It is estimated that around 12000 students will participate in this competition, students studying in any stream in any college/university of Gujarat and students of schools (9th to 12th standard). According to this competition, 2-day regional round and grand finale will be held at different institutions of the state to find solutions to problems and prepare prototypes or models in which there will be activities like presentation by team, mentoring by mentor and evaluation by jury. Team registration will start in the fourth week of August 2022.
The regional round of this competition will be held on 22-23 September 2022 and the grand finale on 27-28 September 2022. Student Startup and Innovation Policy assistance of Rs 2,50,000/- will be provided to the winning team for making proof of concept/prototype. The winning team will also be awarded by the Chief Minister, Education Minister and other ministers. The prize will be distributed to the winners on 30 September 2022 by the Chief Minister. The Union Cabinet has approved India’s National Education Policy (NEP-2020) on 29th July 2020 with an aim to introduce several changes in the existing Indian education system, under which the various steps taken in the higher and technical education sector in Gujarat and the important aspects of the work done in the same are digital. Learning includes ODL, Multidisciplinary Education, Center of Excellence, Indian Knowledge System (IKS), Gujarat Accreditation and Ranking Institutional Mechanism and Arrangement (GARIMA) Cell, Embedded Internship, Vocalization etc. The Chief Minister also released the NEP Compodium with detailed information on all these activities. Society for Creation of Opportunities through Proficiency in English (SCOPE) organization has been established with the aim of increasing the dominance of English language among the young girls of Gujarat and getting brighter employment opportunities through it.
