Ahmedabad : CII constantly works to fuel more efforts on SME, MSME and Green Technology businesses said, the Chairman Darshan Shah. While interacting with media, Darshan Shah elaborated on many focus points on which CII will work and try to create more and more awareness about various technologies and also trying to get proper help from the state government. Under the leadership of Darshan Shah, Chairman – CII Gujarat State Council and Managing Director Hitachi Hi-Rel Power Electronics Pvt Ltd, the Gujarat State Council of CII has adopted the theme of “Gatisheel Gujarat: Fuelling India’s Growth” for the year 2023-24. The theme aims to leverage the strengths of the state and industries to contribute to India’s overall economic development and showcasing Gujarat as the manufacturing hub of the country. The Gujarat State Council has identified several focus areas for the upcoming year, which includes policy advocacy where the industry members will work closely with the Government to share representations and recommendations for to help the Industry, Ease of Doing Business, Enhancing Trade & Business Opportunities, Sustainability and Green Energy and Enhancing Industry Competitiveness. Speaking about the focus areas, Mr Shah said, “The Gujarat State Council is committed to promote the interests of its members and enhancing their competitiveness. We will be working closely with the state government and other stakeholders to create an environment that is conducive to business growth and development.”

CII shall be actively promoting Gujarat as a destination for investment and trade, both domestically and internationally. Through its network of offices and partnerships, CII is committed to reaching out to businesses across the world to showcase the potential of Gujarat as a manufacturing hub and facilitate partnerships and collaborations with local industries.

The State Council has also formed Panels under the theme Gatisheel Gujarat: Fueling India’s Growth that would be working towards the agenda of development of the state and industries. The panels for 2023-24 include a Panel on Policy Advocacy, EoDB (Ease of doing business) & EA (Economic Affairs), Panel on International Trade, Exports & Collaboration (ITEC), Panel on Manufacturing, Panel on Textile, a Panel on Infrastructure, Panel on HR & Skill Development, Panel on MSME & Vendor Development, a Panel on Start-up, Panel on Chemical, Panel on Agri & Food Processing, and Panel on Pharmaceuticals. To enhance the competitiveness of the Industries the State Council will also focus on regular interventions by CII’s Centers of Excellence (CoEs) that have been established to promote best practices, research, and innovation in key areas of the industry.
