Gandhinagar : Citizens get fast justice and that too at cheaper cost, government is committed for that said, Law minister Pradipsinh Jadeja. The present government is committed to provide cheap, easy, and fast justice to the citizens of the state. Minister of State for Law Pradipsinh Jadeja said that this government is working with a commitment to strengthen the judiciary by following the policy of maintaining good governance in the state. Minister added that as a result of the visionary leadership and timely planning of the then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi, today the Gujarat Government has provided the rule of law and now we are moving from Ease of Justice to Ease of Doing Business. Minister Jadeja added that the manner in which our government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has set up courts in almost all talukas and districts of Gujarat under various laws in the last five years has created a conducive environment in the state for investors and industrialists to resolve industrial disputes as soon as possible. Presenting the budgetary demands of the Law Department in the Legislative Assembly, Minister of State for Law Pradipsinh Jadeja said that for the next financial year, Rs. An amount of Rs 1.5 crore has been provided. In the year 2006-2007, this amount was Rs. 120.15 crore, a huge increase of about 1,412 per cent for the next financial year.
The Minister of State for Law said that the operation of the courts was carried out through video conferencing with the determination of the state government to ensure that the judicial process was conducted through modern technology even during the difficult times of the Corona pandemic and which is also convenient for citizens also. Jadeja said that between March 9, 2020 and December 31, 2020, during the Corona period, the High Court disposed of 4.5 cases. While in the subordinate courts also, from 15th April 2020 to 31st December 2020, a total of 1,2,8 cases have been disposed of in a total of 1,2,20 cases. Stating that now the live broadcast of the first court proceedings of the state high court has been started live on YouTube, the Minister of State for Law said that the credit for the first live broadcast of court proceedings in the entire country goes to the state high court which is a matter of pride for all of us. Jadeja said the live broadcast of the court proceedings on YouTube would allow the parties as well as the general public to know the number of cases pending in which high court court, to know the status. The High Court has also started its own telegram channel from March 2021, said Minister Jadeja. The channel will provide important information like daily notices, cause lists, circulars, press notes and press releases of the High Court. Jadeja further added that under the Gujarat National Law University Act-2006, Gujarat National Law University has been established in the state capital Gandhinagar in the year 2006. GNLU has been declared as the second largest law college in the country by India Today Group – M.D.R.A Survey, 2020 which is a matter of great pride for all of us.
