Dahod : Geospatial technology innovation award will be given to Dahod district of Gujarat. Dept. of Agri. & Farmer Welfare of the State Government has received two prestigious awards under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana for technology innovation in the field of agriculture. The Government of India’s ambitious Farmers’ Welfare Scheme Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana has announced an award by the Central Government to the Dahod district of Gujarat for excellence in grievance redressal. Giving more details in this regard, State Agriculture Secretary Manish Bhardwaj said that Gujarat State has also been declared by Geo-Spatial Technology Innovation Award FICCI for the use of GeoSpatial Technology for Crop Area Estimation and Loss Assessment. The role of the best performing award in the Grievances Redressal category under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana to Dahod district, a tribal area of Gujarat. In order to increase the income of the farmers of the country, the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department of the Central Government has started the Prime Minister’s Farmers’ Honor Fund from February 2019 to help the farming families.
Under this ambitious scheme, a total of Rs. 2000 assistance through DBT for every four months. It is paid three times in the same installment. On the occasion of the completion of two years of successful implementation of the Prime Minister’s Kisan Sanman Nidhi, the Government of India has announced awards in three different categories for excellence in the implementation of the scheme in the states and Union Territories of the country. Out of 718 districts across the country, 15 districts have been selected for the award for outstanding performance in these three categories. Accordingly, the district of Dahod in the tribal area of Gujarat has been given Grievances Redressal award for best Performance. Grievances Redressal ward has been announced for disposal of 2087 applications. The award will be presented to the State Government by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India on Wednesday, February 24. In order to ensure transparency in the benefits of the Prime Minister’s Kisan Sanman Nidhi, the Central Government has announced awards in three categories namely full Aadhaar card standard assistance payment to farmers and Grievances Redressal and Physical Verification. 2,26,743 farmer families of 9 talukas have been given assistance under this scheme.
