Kevadia (Narmada) : India’s Democracy is strong and intact, these are the words of the President Ramnath Kovind. President Ramnath Kovind today inaugurated the two-day 80th All India Presiding Officers’ Conference being held in the vicinity of the tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Statue of Unity. The three main constitutional pillars governing the country under the auspices of public welfare, Parliament, Judiciary and Administration, have begun at Kevadia. The conference is being attended by the chairpersons and officials of the Legislative Assemblies of all the states. While democracy is being questioned in many countries of the world, India’s democracy is intact and strong. India is the father of democracy. Today is a glorious day in the vicinity of Sardar Saheb’s statue. The statue of Sardar Saheb has the status of a statue of unity. Once upon a time there was the Statue of Liberty and today the Statue of Unity is the tallest statue. Today is Devuthi Ekadashi, it is a divine coincidence that auspicious events has started from today. This function too. I am delighted to be part of this historic event, President said. President Ramnath Kovind said, In the last few years, people’s expectations from the people’s representatives have increased. At such times, the people want the people’s representatives to follow the parliamentary system. In this system the dispute is resolved through dialogue without making it a dispute. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the three main constitutional pillars for the preservation and promotion of democracy, Parliament, administration and judiciary are actively working in the public interest. CM Rupani said that this year is the centenary year of this conference. So the significance of this conference is even greater.

The ideas and seeds expressed by all of you in this conference will be useful in strengthening our system. Where the reflection of democracy is absorbed.
