Gandhinagar : NICDC organizes investors round table conference n Gandhinagar. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel clearly stated that, Dholera SIR Futuristic City spread over 900 square kilometers is well equipped to become the most advanced industrial hub in Gujarat and India in the near future. In this context Chief Minister said, A special purpose vehicle named Dholera Industrial City Development Limited has been formed by the Government of Gujarat and NICDC for the development of Dholera SIR. The Chief Minister addressed the Investors Round Table Conference organized by the Central Government’s National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation NICDC in Gandhinagar. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Minister of state for Industries Jagdish Vishwakarma, CEO and MD of NICDC and Special Secretary to the Government of India Amrit Lal Meena, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of the state Industries Department Raj Kumar including officials of Industrial Corridors-Industrial Nodes of various states, investors participated in the conference. Chief Minister said that Gujarat since centuries is well renowned for trade and commerce which has now become the most preferred destination for investment as a result of the success of vibrant summits and holistic development under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister further said that Even during times when the whole world was going through the phase of financial crisis and was having an adverse effect in the country as well as in the world, under the direction of the Prime Minister, Gujarat was playing an important role in making India an economic superpower.
Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, with the aim of such a SIR he passed the SIR Act in 2009. Among the 8 such SIRs planned in Gujarat, Dholera, Mandal, Becharaji and PCPIR are at the most advanced stage of development and also fall within the influence area of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Dholera Industrial City is one such leading project which will be equipped with ultra-modern infrastructure facilities, he added. Chief Minister while elaborating on it said that Construction of Ahmedabad-Dholera expressway under Bharatmala project by National Highway Authority of India is in progress, land acquisition for Dholera-Bhimnath railway project will be completed in upcoming 6 months and the Union Cabinet has also given approval for International Airport at Dholera. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry added that the Prime Minister is moving forward with the mantra of holistic and comprehensive development which has resulted in the rise of India’s name worldwide and many countries of the world have been attracted by the visionary planning of the Prime Minister. The name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being popular today in the list of the best leaders of the world. His leadership has been accepted at the global level which shows that India has become a developed country today. He expressed the firm belief that India will move forward with development and faith in the next 25 years, if all the citizens of the country are determined nothing can be an obstacle to our country from becoming a world guru.
Special Secretary for Logistics to Government of India and CEO and MD of NICDC Amrit Lal Meena in his welcome address said that under the guidance of the Minister of Commerce and Industry the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation is developing world class model industrial cities across the country. So far, 4 Industrial cities have been developed which include Dholera, Auric, Vikram Udyogpuri and Greater Noida. Central Government has approved 32 such cities to be developed across 18 states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also launched PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to provide multimodal connectivity. This is a unique model of development where a special purpose vehicle is created with 50-50 percent share of the central and state government. Policy measures have been advised by the Union Minister to facilitate investors to get at reasonable prices, including land on lease, payment terms. So far 201 allottees have acquired land in these 4 industrial townships. We are in touch with them to help with various approvals and resolve their issues,” added Meena. Additional Chief Secretary to Industries Rajkumar, Chief Executive Officer of DSIRDA Hareet Shukla and other smart city administrative managers and investors gave detailed information through presentations.
