Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani through his Facebook video message a social media platform today requested citizens of the state to co-operate in the steps being taken by the state government to stop the prevailing transition of Covid-19 in the state. CM Rupani also expressed his confidence that there would be no Lockdown in the state again and the government would not stop any business due to Corona. Government is making very serious efforts to stop the transition of corona and is also taking appropriate action to reduce the number of cases and ensure that the new cases are treated continuously and people recover and return soon. The CM clearly stated that earlier when the corona cases increased, the Government took all necessary steps to control the situation with the full cooperation of the people of the state. Rupani appealed to the citizens of Gujarat to support the government in the wider interest as the transition of corona has again increased in Gujarat as well as in other states. The government has taken a number of steps to prevent the spread of corona. Offline education has been discontinued in schools and colleges in metropolitan areas while online education is continued. Night curfew has been extended in some metropolitan areas, while some restrictions have been imposed on hotels as well restaurants. These steps taken to prevent the transmission of corona will cause some inconvenience in daily life but the implantation was necessary to stop transition of corona, said CM.
CM Rupani expressed that public will suffer the least and will not be harassed by imposing unnecessary restrictions. The Chief Minister said that we had to impose such restrictions even when the Corona wave was in Gujarat including the country earlier and at that time the people of Gujarat had also given full cooperation. When the transition was under control, the rules were relaxed so that the public to not suffer. Now the transition has again increased so we need to take such steps. The Chief Minister said that many efforts taken earlier during the transition period of Corona were also appreciated by Supreme Court, World Health Organization, IIM & various organizations. He said that the people of the state have given full cooperation and support to the decisions taken by the government in the fight against corona so far. Now the number of corona cases is increasing again, the government is expecting the same precautions and cooperation from the public as before. On one hand testing has been increased in the state, adequate beds in hospitals and all kinds of essential medicines have also been made available. On the other hand, the work of vaccination is also going very fast.
We have to balance everting with the motto of “Jaan bhi hai Jahan bhi hai”. There would be no more lockdown in the state and all the business will be running with few restrictions. People should stay away from the rumours of Lockdown and shall not get panic. “While the number of cases is on the rise, we have once again taken strict action. When the cases will reduce, everything will get back to normal,” added CM. The CM said that Government has no interest in collecting fine for mask but we are collecting the fine of Rs. 1000 from the people not wearing the face mask as per the order of High Court, as mask are for people’s safety only. He appealed the people to create a situation where no one in the state has to pay the penalty of not wearing a mask. We must maintain social distancing, use sanitizer frequently and get vaccinated when it’s our turn. Not only that, we should not step out of our houses unnecessarily and must avoid crowds. With all this precautionary steps we will once again prove the slogan” Corona Harshe, Gujarat Jitshe”.
