Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that about 45% of the population in Gujarat lives in urban areas. The state government is committed to provide basic facilities like tap water, underground sewerage, sewage treatment plant-STP, roads, electricity in all the municipalities of the state including Modasa. The Gujarat government has cautiously pursued the development journey of Gujarat even in the midst of Corona and in the last six months, e-inauguration of development works worth about Rs 11,000 crore has been completed. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani e-inaugurated an 123 km long underground sewerage project to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 69.84 crore. In addition, the construction of a new boys’ hostel building at Government Engineering College Modasa at a cost of Rs.9.53 cr. The inauguration was done by the Chief Minister from Gandhinagar.

The Chief Minister said that even in a global pandemic like Corona, we are continuously advancing the process of development by organizing digital programs. Social distance, masks and frequent hand sanitization will have to be done with caution to prevent the corona infection. With the cooperation of the state government and the people, the recovery rate of corona in Gujarat has reached about 85 per cent while the death rate has come down to 2.6 per cent. He said that in order to make the Prime Minister’s mantra “Jaan Bhi Hai Jahaan Bhi Hai” meaningful, we have to take care in Corona and move ahead with our daily process. We have to work towards speeding up the development works in Modasa and completing them on time. The process of providing pure tap water across the state is underway in the near future.
