Gandhinagar : Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has said that the state government, which has been in the interest of farmers, has made more one-sided decision today. By doubling the assistance of the Farmers’ Accident Insurance Scheme and by increasing the spread of the scheme, any offspring of the farmer has decided to cover under the scheme at the time of the accident.
It is mentioned here that under the Accident Insurance Scheme, in case of Accidental Death or Permanent Full Disability – In case of losing two eyes or two limbs or arms / legs or one eye and one limb loss, 100% amount that is 2 lakhs will be paid instead of 1 lakh, while in case of an accident 50% of the loss of one limb, Rupees one lakhs will be paid instead of rupees 50,000.

In the case of an accident under the Accidental Insurance Scheme, in addition to the first surviving (son / daughter) of the farmer's, the husband / wife of the farmer's husband was covered under this scheme, instead of the first surviving (son / daughter). The offspring has been covered. From now onwards, all the beneficiary farmers who are certified in the 7-12 / 8-A and Right to Information Act-6, according to all the registered applicants, who have individual or joint accounts, will get benefit from this scheme.
He added that under this scheme, 1,75,81,342 farmers have been covered, now giving generous exemption to this scheme, covering more than 73,25,559 farmers will benefit about 2,49,06,901 farmers. The State Government will provide full premium of more than 70 crore to the farmers on behalf of the farmers. Beneficiaries of the scheme will not have to pay any premium.
