Ahmedabad: Lecture series ‘Gujarat in Geographical Perspective’ organized by Gujarat Geography Society has started from 21st January 2023. The lecture series has been initiated at SLU Arts College, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad. This series was initiated by the former chairman of the Geography Department of SLU College, Prof. Jaliniben K.Patel. The main speaker of today’s lecture series is Dr. J. G. Rangiya who delivered his speech on the topic of ‘Role of Geographical Factors in Economic Development of Gujarat’. Dr.Rangiya, the chief speaker of the program, spoke in detail about the favorable geographical factors for Gujarat to become the growth engine state of the country and said that the economic development of the state is basically based on various minerals, fertile lands, long coastline, favorable climate, animal wealth, water resources and vegetation. The entire program was managed by coordinator Ghanshyambhai Anjara. Dr. Mahesh K. Patel spoke about the work of the congregation. Principal Dr. Shailja Dhruv, senior teachers of Geography, Dr. Vishal Gupta, Professor of Sabarmati University, students of various colleges and department of Geography were present in the program.
