Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar : Startups make significant contributions to the development of the nation, said Minister of Electronics and IT. Under Digital India Week-2022, a startup conference was held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnav. Addressing the conference, Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that emerging startups have made a significant contribution to the 360-degree development of the nation. Describing Startup India as an important initiative of the central government, Minister Vaishnav added that startups have a special role to play in supporting entrepreneurs, building a strong startup ecosystem and making the country a country of job creators instead of job seekers. Minister Vaishnav also urged every startup in the country to move forward in this direction, saying that voice-based access would facilitate access to internet and digital services in various Indian languages ​​through the ‘Digital India Bhashini’ initiative recently launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ‘Digital India Genesis (General Next Support for Innovative Startups)’ initiative has been launched to find startups in different cities of the country and give them the right platform to build a successful startup. The Minister urged new startups to do research in the field of digital health.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, said the main objective of the startup is to create a strong and comprehensive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in the country to promote culture. Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supporting the entrepreneurs. The Startup India Initiative was launched on January 15, 2016. At the beginning of the initiative, there were only a handful of startups in the country, while today there are more than 3,000 startups.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that various startup leaders would come together on one platform to share their experiences and prepare a road map for economic development. He also expressed confidence that the Central and State Governments would provide all necessary assistance to support the emerging startups of the nation. Welcoming the conference, Union Electronics and IT Secretary Alkesh Kumar said that during the conference, “India Vibrant Startup Ecosystem – Continuing Its Growth”, “Building Technologies for India and World”. Sessions such as “In Tier-II and III Cities” and “Corporate Collaboration and Recognition” will be held with the participation of various startup leaders. The conference featured Ghazal Alagh (Mama Earth), Srinath Ramakrishnan (Zetwork), Parag Naik (Sankhya Labs), Rohan Verma (Map My India), Varun Khaitan (Urban Company), Anil Sharma (TCS), Sonia Choksi (Match My Talent). And co-founders of the country’s leading startups, including Divya Shetty (Circle X), shared their views. The conference was attended by founders of various startups, co-founders, entrepreneurs, technical experts.
