Gandhinagar : State road safety award awarded by transport minister Purnesh Modi. Gujarat State Road Safety Award-2022″ in three different categories was awarded by the Minister of Transport and President of Gujarat Road Safety Authority Purnesh Modi today in Gandhinagar to those who have done excellent work to create awareness about safety on road and traffic rules compliance in Gujarat. In which, by dignitaries including the Minister, the first, second and third award winners for three different categories namely Voluntary Person, Voluntary, Educational, Industrial Institutions and City-District Road Safety Committee got Rs.1.25 lakh, Rs.1 lakh and Rs. 75,000 respectively and were encouraged by awarding a trophy. In the ‘Gujarat State Road Safety Award-2022’ by the Minister of Transport, Amit Kiritkumar Khatri, Ajaysinh B. Jadeja in the voluntary category and Vishnubhai Banubhai Thakor, Government Polytechnic, Valsad, Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) and L&T Ahmedabad-Maliya Tollway Limited in Voluntary Organization while District Road Safety Committee in City-District Road Safety Committee, Ahmedabad, District Road Safety Committee Surat and District Road Safety Committee Devbhumi Dwarka was awarded first, second and third respectively.

Mr.M.K Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Transport Department was specially present on this occasion. Gujarat Road Safety Commissioner Lalit Padalia said that more individuals, volunteers, educational, industrial organizations should be motivated to work in the field of road safety in order to reduce fatal road accidents in the state and the excellence of City and District Road Safety Committees working for road safety at the city-district level. This award is awarded by the State Government’s Transport Department for the noble purpose of promoting and applauding performance, as part of which these awards were distributed today.
