Gujarat Desk : BLS International Services Ltd has been awarded a work order by the State Health Agency (SHA), Gujarat, to verify pending e-KYC enrolments under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana–Mukhyamantri Amrutam (AB PMJAY-MA) scheme.

The verification process will be carried out through the National Health Authority’s (NHA) Beneficiary Identification System (BIS) platform, with the objective of clearing pending beneficiary records and strengthening data accuracy across Gujarat’s Ayushman Bharat ecosystem.

The assignment falls under BLS International’s existing empanelment with the National Health Authority and involves verification of beneficiary details, adherence to defined turnaround timelines, and implementation of operational and compliance safeguards.

Speaking on the development, Shikhar Aggarwal, Joint Managing Director of BLS International and Chairman of BLS E-Services, said the initiative would help ensure seamless beneficiary verification and timely distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards, particularly benefiting frontline health workers, senior citizens and vulnerable sections of society.

According to official data, Gujarat currently records around 1.89 lakh new Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) registrations every month, taking the cumulative total to over 49.6 crore accounts nationwide. Of these, more than 27.7 crore accounts are linked with digital health records, reflecting rapid progress in India’s digital health infrastructure.

The scope of work places strong emphasis on data security, fraud prevention and governance, including strict monitoring of authorized personnel and compliance with confidentiality and performance security norms. The initiative comes at a time when state and central agencies are intensifying efforts to protect beneficiary data and ensure authenticity in welfare enrolments.

Ayushman Bharat PMJAY is the Government of India’s flagship health assurance scheme, offering health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per eligible family. Effective beneficiary verification is considered critical to ensuring that benefits reach the intended population without delays or leakages.

The work order will remain valid until December 31, 2025, or until new card processing agencies are onboarded by the National Health Authority, whichever occurs earlier.
