The Congress party on Thursday talked of holding a meeting soon on the demands of the G-23 leaders who have adopted a rebellious stand on the party leadership. Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting will be organized very soon. According to news agency PTI, Surjewala said that even before leaving for Shimla, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had indicated that a CWC meeting would be convened soon. Accordingly, a meeting will be held in the coming days. After the change in the Congress government in Punjab, senior party leader Kapil Sibal had raised the question on Wednesday, saying that if the party does not have a president, then who is taking the decisions? He had demanded that the party immediately convene a meeting of the Executive Committee (CWC) so that it can be discussed openly. There was also a demonstration outside his house on this statement of Sibal. In fact, there has been a change of leadership in Punjab recently. In place of Captain Amarinder Singh, the responsibility of Chief Minister has now been given to Charanjit Singh Channi.
