Gandhinagar : Chandrak Alankaran awarded to police personnel. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel while addressing at the Police chandrak Alankaran Samaroh organized by Gujarat Police clearly stated that, Behind the security, peace and safety of the state lies the duty and commitment of the Police Force. In this context he said that through Vibrant Summit Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created a global image of Gujarat in the world of business and industry. As a result of this, investors and industrialists from local as well as abroad, have been attracted for investments and business in Gujarat. The strong security, peace and safety that prevails in state which has made Gujarat the first choice investment destination for such investors, thanks to the state’s Police Force. Police medals for meritorious service, distinguished service to 99 officers and personnel of Gujarat Police Force which was to be conferred by President of India was presented by Chief Minister Bhupendra  Patel in Ahmedabad. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Rajkumar, Director General of Police Ashish Bhatia and families of Police officers honored with Chandrak participated in this event. Bhupendra Patel defined the unique definition of POLICE by referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi  who applauded the service-dedication of the Police force and by giving them the title of Police the guardians of social security.

The Chief Minister appreciated that Gujarat Police is doing excellent work for maintaining law and order and security of the people by adopting the policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’ for crime, implementation of Digital India and technological approach under the guidance and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He also praised the fact that the officers and personnel of the Police Force are performing social service and always remaining standby in tough circumstances by supporting their families as well. Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi said that he has kept Gujarat at the top in terms of security in the country due to the duty of the State Police Force. He said, From 2002 to 2022, Gujarat Police has massively contributed for the success of Garvi Gujarat to Vande Gujarat. Harsh Sanghvi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have taken many important decisions regarding law and order and have also given complete freedom to the Police department to work regarding law and order. Referring to the anti-drugs campaign, he added that Gujarat Police is doing an excellent job of saving the youth from getting their life ruined because of drugs by catching hold of drugs coming to Gujarat as well as in other states. For the commendable performance of the Gujarat Police, the government allocated Rs. 550 crore package for which he expressed gratitude on behalf of the Home Department. DGP (Director General of Police) Ashish Bhatia in his welcome address said that Under the leadership of the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, the Gujarat Police Force is working towards becoming the most modern in the country. Positive and reformist steps are being taken in the Police Department today. He thanked the Chief Minister and the Minister of State for Home for showing an inspiring  approach for the police department. On this occasion, DGP Vikas Sahay, (Training Department) expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, police officers and their families present. Ahmedabad Police Commissioner, senior officers-staff from various districts, families of award-winning police personnel and citizens were present in large numbers for this event.
